We LOVE our Uncles!!

Anthony's brothers Kent and Ross came to stay with us over their spring break at Auburn. I think it is so neat that in college they would choose to visit our wild little family in Tennessee over starting spring break! Uncle Kent and Uncle Ross's character and personalities are admirable! My little guys have great role models! The night they left while eating dinner Johnathan said "my miss them already."  Not only did Uncle Ross and Uncle Kent play soccer and baseball continuously, they also babysat Saturday morning while I helped throw a baby shower and Anthony worked! But---it gets even more impressive! On Sunday after church they painted my entire kitchen! These young men are so apprecited at our house!!!
Uncle Kent was the painter, and Uncle Ross maintained the extension ladder!
The weather was gorgeous, and the kids enjoyed riding bikes through the neighborhood with their Uncles!
Mr. Ronnie and Lacey gave the boys a tee, this weekend it was broken in!

Uncle Ross and Uncle Kent brought a present, it was wrapped in  "The Auburn Plains" newspaper!!
It was a new release book "The War Eagle Story"
Just to make sure the kids could fully apprecaite the Auburn legacy they watched the eagle fly at the stadium and also the Auburn fight song!
Now, we have a constant battle between the Auburn Tigers and the Florida Gators when the twins pick "teams" while playing sports in the house! ha! Yay! Dont tell their Daddy that we are planning future colleges in the SEC! I am so thankful for the blessing of family. Praying for these two "uncles" as the continue their college career!

Our Girl goes to the farm

Jayne Elizabeth woke up from her nap asking to go the farm!! We called Papa and he tried to talk to her about starting ballet classes, but she kept repeating "my go to farm." So Papa came from the livestock market to pick-up this cute little girl for the afternoon. She was beyond excited!! Her brothers were still napping, so the explaination was postponed for them. Jayne Elizabeth would say "no boys, just me." She quickly had me help her pack a bag (just like a girl, a big bag just for the afternoon!) and then began to wait on Papa. She was so excited! She even was able to wear her "high maintenance" camo from Uncle Clay! It was the cutest thing ever to watch her!
Ready!!!
Still holding tight to her bag!!
She moved to the carseat while waiting....still holding tight! So cute!
She RAN to Papa, and she was very excited to see the truck AND trailer!!
Papa and Jayne Elizabeth headed to see Granna and the farm!
and then Granna sent this video.....take a deep breath~

It's Raining, It's Pouring

Oh my, we have had the rain! Instead of staying inside another afternoon I decided to "enjoy" the weather and allow the kids to go outside and play. There were large puddles and rain drops after the down pour on Monday! Jayne Elizabeth loved the water the most! She had no problem splashing around! Joseph was not thrilled with the water pouring into his boots, and Johnathan enjoyed the umbrella the most!

S.O.S.

After we returned from New Orleans, Anthony left for business trip for the week. The kids and I had lots of fun plans, but this all changed when Johnathan came down with 104 fever, and I had to work. The virus came through our house in a week long wave of HIGH fevers. Aunt Kim volunteered to come from Nashville to help us for the weekend!! She saved the day!!!!
Johnathan was happy to see Aunt Kim!

Lots of time on the couch, the "special drink" pedialyte was a favorite.
Special time in Mommy's bed, Aunt Kim read all 156 pages! Complete with reading 123, 124, 125 etc!
Did I mention that Aunt Kim saved the day?!?!
When the tylenol and ibuprofen were peaking there was time to play!!!
Please join me in prayer as Aunt Kim leaves this week for a big trip to Europe. Also, I am out of commission as Mommy for a few days. Thursday I had oral surgery, extractions, and bone grafts. This is no fun, and now Grandma Gail is here to help with the kids. Our kids do not understand the restricition on talking, eating, and lifting that the doctors put me on! We are praying for a healthy house soon!

Half Marathon- Rock N Roll

Our trip to New Orleans was planned around the Rock N Roll Marathon, benefiting the American Cancer Society. Approximately 16,000 ( yes, thousands!!) runners completed the race. We met up with our running coach, and his group from Running Wild in Mobile, AL. The weather was gorgeous, and the crowds cheering us on were hopping! There was a band each mile, and people everywhere! I ran a personal best 1:45:13, and Anthony completed his first half marathon 1:42:13. We were very thankful, and humbled that God allows us the opportunity to glorify HIM through our health and running! 13.1 miles is a long time to pray and praise! Now, to decide if 26.2 is in our future?!?!

Finish Line!
Post-race!

Phat Girlz, from Running Wild in Mobile! I love this group of ladies!
The man with the plan, Jon!

New Orleans

Anthony and I love New Orleans! Especially on Valentine's Day weekend, and Anthony's birthday weekend! It is a wonderfully romantic place with great food! When the opportunity presented itself to run the Rock N Roll Half Marathon in New Orleans we were super excited! This would be Anthony's first half marathon, and our first together! It was a quick trip, but we had so much fun!  We were able to relax, run, and eat amazing food!! Did I mention the amazing food?!!? That is just a few reasons we frequent this city! I love my husband, and love him even more when we have uninterrupted conversations, dinner and sleep! We celebrated all weekend together!!
We left 6:30 am Saturday, and ran the half marathon 7:00 am on Sunday! whew!
In the airport reading last minute tips in "Runners World" ha!
The Rock N Roll Marathon is a series, and has a HUGE expo at the convention center on Satruday!

We enjoy Bourbon Street, and have claimed a few "favorite" places to go when we are there!

We decided that we should always run a race while visiting NOLA, because the dinners are so fine!
Race day pictures soon!

Farm

Tennessee has been unreasonably cold and snowy! The farm life has been very tough on Papa, and the farm boys (and girl!!).

Marshmellows at Papa and Granna's fireplace are the best!!

Sticky fingers for Jayne Elizabeth!
