Casts, oh casts

Johnathan has continued to walk on his tippy toes! We decided to take him back to Vanderbilt to have this problem evaluated. We decided to have the pediatric physical therapist execute the treatment plan. The agenda involves 6 weeks of casts, followed by agressive physical therapy at home, and then braces on both feet for 6 months!! We have faith this is the right choice. As a family we are all going to do our part to help Johnathan get stronger!
Vanderbilt with casting from Mommy's friend, Donna

Johnathan is an amazing, and very brave little boy!
Each Tuesday after our long drive to Nashville to get the casts changed we get a special treat!

Joseph and Jayne Elizabeth are very concerned and helpful!

His first day at school in casts we had a "cast and cupcake" party. All his friends signed his casts!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the time when my dad's side of the family the Taylors, gather at the farm. This year was special because the Taylor cousins came from as far as Seattle, WA and Mobile,AL to join the regular Thanksgiving bunch!! There were many family members that we do not see often, some even live closer. It is a neat time to see the family connections still carrying on through the years.

Samuel, definitely looks like family :-)

Anthony and Uncle Richard from Columbia SC

Seattle

Anthony has the privilege of traveling often with business and conference commitments. We decided when we started our family that I would always go with him for quality time together. I quickly realized that he takes these educational opportunities very seriously, and we would not see each other often while on the trip! LOL! Also, after having our children I realized my ideas of fun and quality time involved them!!! We decided that for each "big" trip that I would go and we would rotate which child would go for "their big trip and special time with mommy and daddy!!" The kids look forward all year to their special trip with Mommy and Daddy!! It is one of my favorite things to do when I spend one on one time with each of them! The Veterinary Dental Forum is considered the premier event in the veterinary business and was held in Seattle, Washington. It was at the downtown Sheraton Seattle hotel. It was JOSEPH's turn, and we had a very special trip!!!

At the airport parking lot Joseph looked around the minivan and saw Johnathan's puppy sitting in his empty car seat. Joseph was determined to not leave his brother's puppy, Clemons, alone in the car during our trip. So we took Joseph along with two puppies,  Clemons AND Curtis to Seattle!

The airport and flights were very long, it took ALL day to fly to Seattle

As soon as we arrived Joseph discovered Seattle sea food! He loves clams!

Oh, how I love a boy who can shop Nordstroms!

Amazing quality time each day. Breakfast in bed.......
A workout at the gym.........
Starbucks for Mommy's coffee, and for Joseph's new found love of steamed milk!!
We would stop by the exhibit hall to see Daddy. He worked really hard there.
 Joseph our veterinary dentist!
Since 1907 Seattle has had the Pike Place Market. The market was our first stop out every day!! It has the seasons best fresh produce, seafood, and handmade crafts!! Joseph was amazed with the "busy" atmosphere and he loved the fresh produce. We would buy a bag for the day every morning!

Joseph made friends there too!!! Isaac was a favorite! He made Joseph feel special, and even sent us home with a special "salmon candy" for his twin brother. Joseph begged me every day to buy a fish from these guys!

 The very first Starbucks!

The aquarium
Fish and Chips, photography by Joseph!
Dinner with Daddy!
 Ferris wheel

Our very last day in Seattle we were able to take Daddy to the market!!!

It took Joseph only about 5 minutes to convince Anthony to buy a HUGE fish and have it boxed and packaged to bring back to Tennessee!!!!

Our fish, ready to go home!
