Airport Delays..

On the way home we experienced a 2 hour and 45 minute flight delay!! Ugh! After arriving at the airport in New Orleans 2 hours early, then we waited for another 2 hours and 45 minutes because of "weather and air traffic control." The boys did well, but napping in the airport was difficult. It was a very late night traveling, but we made it back to Tennessee. We are finally home, and recovering!! We had a great time, and wish the very best to Tanya and Patrick!! ( we knew while we were extremely bored in the airport, they were enjoying pina coladas and the gorgeous beaches of St. Lucia!! ha! ha!)

Tanya and Patrick's Wedding

We had a great time at the wedding and reception! Everything went really well, and was beautiful! Tanya and Patrick are wonderful, and we enjoyed seeing them and their friends and family too! Johnathan and Joseph enjoyed walking on the dance floor, and did very well! We are glad Kim was there to take them to the hotel when they were ready for bed! We truly enjoyed our time in Louisiana, and look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

The boys arrival..

"Aunt" Kim and Anthony flew down with the boys to Louisiana on Friday. Aunt Kim came down to help with the boys since Mommy was already there, and in the wedding! Johnathan and Joseph were great on the flight, and enjoyed the weekend. The pool at the hotel was so much fun for the boys. They truly are water babies! Aunt Kim and Joseph

Mommy break....

It was a wonderful time at the Ritz Carlton- New Orleans!! Myself, Tanya and the other bridesmaids enjoyed the spa, dinner at the Melting Pot, the French Quarter and a night at the hotel. This was Tanya's bachelorette party with the girls before the wedding. It was special to me because I havent been back to New Orleans since March-April of 2004 when I lived there while completing a clinical at Tulane Sports Medicine. The town is beautiful, but the signs of Katrina are still present. I was so glad to be there with friends, and we all has a wonderful time!

Thank you Anthony and Grandma Holmes for keeping the boys so I could go to Louisiana early to enjoy the bachelorette fun!

Our first haircut!

We went to Salon 91 today for our first haircut!! Miss Ashley does Mommy's hair, and ours too! We were such good boys! The O's to nibble on while Daddy held us kept our minds off of the haircut. Thanks Miss Ashley for taking such good care of us. We look so grown up now! After our haircut, Mommy and Daddy took us to the mall to walk around. We had fun, and now we are watching Mommy pack for our trip to Louisiana this week for Tanya's wedding!

We are WALKING

They are walking for sure! For the past month or so they have taken steps, held your hand or cruised furniture. When people would ask "Are they walking yet?," we wouldnt know exactly what incorporated "walking." But, as a physical therapist I am confident now they are "walking." Both boys are able to independantly walk to and from you, or any other object of their desire. Now, balance is another issue! We fall bunches, and only make it walking short distances, but they are more and more confident in their new skill each day! Yikes!!

Still not sure, how or why Joseph is under the table?!?

Maybe he was trying to get to Daddy's Bible! ( **wink**)

Whew..sleep.

Thanks for the calls and emails about Joseph sleeping in his room upstairs. Joseph did well for the first time without Mommy or Daddy going in to comfort him or give him bottles at night. He cried 3-4 times for about 10 minutes each, but then settled down at fell back asleep on his own! Daddy and Mommy didn't like the brief crying, but we stayed in our bed and just watched the monitor....ugh. Both boys woke up happy this morning, and we are thankful for a good nights rest. Our new goal is peaceful sleep for the family, past 5:30 AM!!

Rub-a-dub....

.....two little boys in the tub!! Bath time is one of their favorite parts of the day!! Anthony and I say "It's bath time, are you ready for a bath." They take-off toward the tub, following after each other, and then stand at the edge of the tub waiting! When they are all done playing in the tub, they get fussy and point at their towels hanging on the back of the closet door! It is so cute! Stay tuned....they are walking! Pictures soon!

Update

The website will not allow me to upload pictures!! I have tried every day this week, and when I try to post pictures I get back an error message! I will keep trying, but until then text will have to do!
The boys are great! They are both walking by theirselves! So cute!! They do not make it very far before their lack of balance gets the best of them, but they can walk and get a toy or to and from me, or across the living room! It is so cute. Johnathan enjoys walking more than Joseph. Joseph prefers to crawl and get their quicker than Johnathan!
Tonight will be Joseph's first night upstairs in his own room! Ugh....he hasn't slept through the night yet, but we have decided that it is time he is upstairs and away from us! He enjoys a nightly ( or even several times a night bottle ) so this is our effort to get him on the right track of learning to sleep through the night. Johnathan moved upstairs last month, and after about a week he began sleeping through the night....and is sleeping now until 7 Am!! Our hope and prayer is that Joseph learns quickly and is able to sleep peacefully in his own room.
We are all doing good, I feel great! Baby #3 is getting active, and we are beginning to get things prepared for all 3 kids! I hope to have pictures up soon!

Welcome Home Angels!!

Celebrate and Give Thanks!!! One year ago today Joseph was discharged from Vanderbilt, and we all came back to Crossville as a family for the first time! God is so good, what a great year! Again, a heartfelt thank you for the support and prayers. "Aunt" Kim please know how much we all still appreciate you allowing Johnathan and myself to move in with you until Joseph came home! These boys are so blessed.

Sleepy Boy

Our Joseph has not been eating as well this week. He has been super sleepy and vomitted twice! Now his little tummy has been upset.... However he is fun and happy as ever. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Helping Mommy!

The boys enjoy "organizing" items on their level. There is nothing safe when they are awake! Even the dog Velvet has learned to get away when they head her direction! It is fun to watch them explore, but not as much fun to clean up!

Joseph and Johnathan organizing their shoes

The boys also enjoy "counting" their bibs...

Whew, all happened this morning!

Uncle Clay's wedding!

Wow!! The farm was beautiful! After months of preparing for the big day, everything looked great! Justina did an excellent job coordinating her vision for a wedding on the family farm! She was beautiful, and her colors complimented the setting well!! However, I undersestimated the physical and emotional stress of decorating and coordinating on the wedding day. It was exhausting, and I can't begin to thank our family friends enough for the countless hours of help during the three days to carry-out such a beautiful weekend. My life-long friend Ginger, the Larsons, Butlers, Hazelliefs, and Bill were a few of our behind the scenes friends to help execute the plans during the weekend! Clay and Justina are truly loved by so many. Both Clay and Justina did so much to prepare for the big day, and I think that the support showed by their friends and family truly shows how important they are as a couple. Please continue to pray for them as a couple as they begin their journey together as one through life...... Now, grab a coke and some popcorn, this slideshow is a long one!!

Uncle Clay's Rehearsal Dinner

This weekend Uncle Clay got married at the farm!! The rehearsal dinner was at Grandpa and Grandma Holmes' house. The rain really kicked in, so the party was moved inside. We think we saw Daddy getting blown away trying to hold onto the tent! The boys enjoyed the visitors!
