Marche'

Marche' is our favorite place to eat in Toronto!! Johnathan and I ate there 4 times!! We brought Daddy and Kerry with us on our last day in Canada! The amount of fresh food, breads, pastas and produce is unbelievable! EVERY type of FRESH fruit, veggie, pasta and meat are available! Gorgeous crates, barrels, and stands of the foods surround the stations! Gourmet entrees, each selection available fresh and personalized! It was truly unbelievable! My personal favorite were the crepes, and Johnathan LOVED the fresh mango, orange and carrot smoothies! I am sure there will be a William Sonoma juicer in our future! There are several Marche' restaraunts worldwide, but none in the United States.

Johnathan was amazed with the size of the carrots!

Hmmmm. I think this is rudabaga (sp??) ....not sure buddy! Rhubarb is also a new favorite!
Oh Marche', we think Nashville would be a great new location.........

Networking

At these veterinary conferences Anthony is serious about attending classes, and the after hours round table discussions. However, we do attend most lunch and dinner gatherings with him.  I think Johnathan is well versed in the updated veterinary protocols and practice management! Johnathan did so well, we are so proud of him!
Johnathan has discovered his "intellectual" side, and it is wearing Daddy's eye glasses!
Johnathan was a popular boy in the exhibit hall, he gathered lots of goodies from vendors.

Kerry is our practice manager, and she is great!!!
Johnathan patiently waiting for his lunch :)
Each night had a planned social gathering, sometimes dessert sitting by the dance floor was best
Our dancing family, taking a break!!
Another appearance from the intellectual Johnathan
The fondue with marshmellows was a favorite experience for Johnathan....

Home away, the hotel

We spent time each day and night at the pool at our hotel....Johnathan loved it! There was a kiddie pool, and hot tub also! It is a new phase in parenting to be able to sit pool side and watch him play! It was relaxing and enjoyable!

Johnathan did great staying at the hotel, the accomadations were perfect for him :)
Anthony planned out his meeting schedule at night, Johnathan provided his input!
Daddy and Johnathan ordered us dessert in bed, I loved this!
Another midnight room service, this time grilled cheese!

Breakfast at Coras

The nights are filled with dinner and networking with Daddy, so healthy food choices are imperative during the day. Johnathan and I usually enjoy the morning Starbucks since it is on our block. ( and it is still frigid!) But this morning we decided to push through the cold and walk to Coras! It was great!!! The food was healthy and fantastic!  My breakfast date is so sweet, he has the most sensistive heart! We know that he is our "tender" child but it is so obvious with our alone time with him. Johnathan repeatedly says "mommy my like your Pjs." Or "mommy your boots are pretty." This morning he said "mommy, you are the best mommy." Awe, this kid!! Anthony said he doesnt get that side from him! ha!!
 Yogurt and fruit parfait
 French toast and fruit
I am so thankful for time alone with one child. I appreciate this opportunity to make memories that are special between Johnathan and his Mommy...and some with Daddy too! **wink**

Ontario Science Center

Johnathand and I took a taxi to the Ontario Science Center. He was so excited to wave down the taxi! The exhibits were great, and the area for interactive kids activities were amazing!
he enjoyed climbing the beavers house!
the space area was the most educational for him this day
 cutie pie astronaut!
the house made of construction materials was a hit!
we have discovered that my sweet and shy Johnathan is a rocker in the waiting!
 this kids loves the bands!
My big boy fell asleep in the taxi on the way back to the hotel......

Destination: Canada

Anthony has a veterinary conference in Toronto this week! It is Johnathan's turn for the "special trip" and one on one time with Mommy and Daddy. We will rotate turns with the kids for the major conferences and special alone time! Although, Joseph and Jayne Elizabeth had no problem with their planned "special time" at the farm!
Johnathan at Nashville airport, taking care of his luggage! What a big boy!
This was the tiny plane, that was very turbulent, and resulting in my motion sickness!! At one point as I was using the nice little provided bag as a fan Johnathan asked "are we going to crash Mommy?" Anthony was on the other side of the aisle, concerned too! The storm clouds were BIG!
As we descended the view was completely white, and barely visible was the Toronto traffic stopped on the roads! The winter storm was noted as we walked down the stairs off the airplane and proceeded  through the blizzard to the terminal....did I say how small this plane was??? Johnathan's first words as we entered the airport "my not like this place Daddy, next time I will pick!" ha!! He is better now :)
 WELCOME TO TORONTO!
Johnathan still wasnt convinced this was a vacation! ha~

H.O.C.K.E.Y.

This I now know. Toronto loves hockey! Also, I know that one day my sons will appreciate that on the first day of vacation we went to eat at Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, and then we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame! This would not be my first choice, but it was for Johnathan! Anthony will not be out of the conference until tonight, so it was H.O.C.K.E.Y. for us!
Wayne Gretzky's had great food, Johnathan loved the chicken mac-n-cheese!
They gave him a "hockey stick" in his drink, and the tables were made to look like ice!
At the Hockey Hall of Fame, we spent most of the time at the interactive hockey areas~
In the "locker room" of the Toronto Maple Leafs...
Johnathan's hockey coach, Mr. Howie! I am glad hockey isnt available in Crossville :)
Johnathan preferred not to be goalie, thank you Jesus.

After all the hard work on the ice, it was time for fresh raspberry lemonade...ahhhh.
Johnathan desperately wants to bring Joseph back a puck, please let me find something else that would satisfy him! ha!

Who is that girl???

Etta with her Dad today!

The above picture is our neice Etta when she was two! Anthony's identical twin brother (yes, he is a twin too!) and wife have two boys and a girl. We have two boys and a girl. Etta is their first born, and this happened the day before we were married! Etta has always been a very special little girl to us! Since she was born we thought she was so pretty, smart, and kind! Fast forward seven years, and now we have a little girl that the families agree favors Etta a whole bunch! Secretly, we couldnt be happier!!! Take a look, what do you think??!! Etta is above picture, and Jayne Elizabeth is the following picture!

Below is a picture with Etta and her Daddy when she was Jayne Elizabeth's age....I think there is a resemblance between the fathers and daughters!
