Celebrate!

One year ago today, our Joseph had his BIG surgery! In the NICU at Vanderbilt Dr. Yang took him to have his esophagus connected to his tummy!! We just can't stop praising God for Joseph, and his complete healing! No complications, no follow-ups, and " a medically unexplainable" recovery! Praise God! ( can you see the huge smile on my face as I type this?!! ) We are also reminded of the excellent medical care we received and the support and unending prayers! Joseph and Mommy after surgery
This verse was the scripture we confessed and had written on the board in his NICU room the day of his surgery: " You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples." Psalm 77:14
**Know that God is capable and trustworthy. When you meet new trials ; review how good God has been to you, and this will strengthen your faith. Let the miracles of today and the miracles known in the Bible remind each of us of God's power, protection, and love. **
He Lives!

Bark in the Park!

The Crossville Depot Days were over the weekend, and the site for the first annual Bark in the Park. A big thank-you to Dr. Karen McGlothlin that works with Daddy for being an instrumental force in the planning and organization of the event! The event was a success! There were contests, prizes and a parade! The boys had a great time! Daddy wasn't able to be there because he was at the vet clinic seeing patients!! The vet clinic staff was a big help during the event! The girls from the clinic entered Velvet in the "ugliest dog" contest, and she won due to being the only candidate! Joseph was sad because he thinks his dog is beautiful! It was great day!

Sprout Studio!

Daddy had the day off and we went to Knoxville!! It was a busy day! We shopped, went out to lunch, went to the childrens play gym and to the twin girls basketball games!! whoah! We all were so tired. The boys were late for bedtime, but did well. Sprout Studio was the play gym and it was so much fun! The boys loved it! It was so nice letting them play everywhere, and not having to say "no" that something was off limits! They loved the freedom and new environment! We will go back for more playtime! It was so fun watching the boys explore! We wish we had Daddy to help more often!

Pool time

Mommy is working the weekend at the hospital, this is her first one back, and her last! So Daddy has the boys this weekend! Their Saturday was a blast!! Daddy took them by himself to K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Kroger and out to eat Mexican! Wow!!! If only Mommy could have been a fly on the wall!! ha! The result of the shopping is a small pool and memory foam for the boys beds!!! Mommy couldn't believe it when she came home. The boys seem to love the pool! Daddy said they also enjoyed a cheese quesadilla! Joseph told Mommy that the nice mexican guy at lunch was big help! Oh my, Mommy is having chest pain! ha! Needless to say, Daddy's are more fun!!! Happy Father's Day!!

Blueberries on the Farm

Joseph LOVES blueberries!! He believes there are three food groups: blueberries, O's, and peas! So when Grandma Holmes called and said she had blueberries to pick at the farm, off we went! ( and Mommy was happy because these are truly organic!) The boys had so much fun, it was so neat seeing them realize that the blueberries were coming off the bush!

Just a swinging.....

The boys are enjoying their birthday presents......the swings are so much fun! "Aunt Tina" gave these to the boys and they love them! Their laughter is adorable! The boys are so grown up. Each of them follow us room to room, and call "MaMa," when in need! I must say Joseph is a true Daddy's boy. No one else matters to him if his Daddy is home! They go up and down a step to get in their playroom and get into something new every day. They walk everywhere holding your hand, and are gaining confidence to stand alone! Johnathan points at every new thing, and Joseph's row of bottom teeth are so cute!

More birthday pictures!

So, after my long dictation on the latest in our lives, with no pictures--- we now have more pictures!! These are a few more of their birthday last week with family. The boys are my angels!
Sweet baby Joseph with cake on his face! Daddy and boys opening presents!
The boys enjoyed the paper the most!
Grandpa Holmes and their Radio Flyer wagon!
P.S. Yes, dear neighbors today we were all out in the yard at 7:00 AM in this wagon! The boys were fussy and the outside was what made them happy! So Daddy, Mommy and twins were walking the driveway! The boys are on the move, and idependant play in the living room only lasts moments now!

Before digital pictures

I am sorry to inform everyone that I am still not able to upload pictures!! There is a problem with the "address" when I attempt to blog pictures! It is so funny, because not long ago it wasnt even possible to visualize daily pictures via the internet.....we are so spoiled. But I must say this problem saddens me too!
However I can still publish text......we are all doing fine. I think that the severe pregnancy morning ( all day ) sickness has passed, and the boys runny noses are better. This makes for a much happier family. Anthony and I couldnt stand it any longer and last week he performed his first ultrasound here at home of Baby #3. The baby is very active, much like Joseph was in the womb. I still visualize a third little boy, and Anthony likes to think about a little girl! We will be extremely happy with either!
Johnathan and Joseph are big boys now and experiencing many firsts!!! Johnathan has moved upstairs to his own room! He is UPSTAIRS and separated from his brother for the first time since we came home. Johnathan is doing very well and sleeping better in his big boy room. I know this first hand because I sneak in and sleep in a single bed in the same room until daylight!! Next week I will join Anthony back downstairs!
Another first, I have weaned both boys! Ugh, ouch, yikes! No more breastfeeding as of this week. We are moving on to sippy cups, and a few comfort bottles in the morning and evening!
Also, Joseph and Johnathan went to the nursery at church for the first time this morning. We have kept them in the main service with us until today. Anthony and I worked in the nursery today, so it was a perfect time to introduce them to that setting. They have not been to daycare or nursery before, so this was another first! We all did great! Even "Aunt" Tina stayed with us in the nursery! The boys are so blessed!
Next weekend I will fly to Louisiana for Tanya's bridal shower!! This is the first time I will leave Anthony and the boys behind! My Mom will be here also because Anthony is oncall next weekend! I will miss the boys, but I truly am ready for a break with some much needed girl time. It has been a wild year!
I will keep you updated and eagerly await the solution to my inability to blog pictures!
