Play Ground Fun

After Mother's Day Out we took the boys to our church play ground! It was so fun, but so hard for me to watch them be such big boys! I am amazed at how they are interacting with the other kids in their class. I just want them to stay this age- forever! When Anthony and I took them on the play ground, they marched around and laughed like little men. When we sat them at the table for their afternoon snack, I think I started to cry. My precious little babies are now toddlers. I am so proud of them and all they have accomplished this last year. Anthony and I smile at simple site of them, or even the mention of their names. God is so good.

Mother's Day Out

The boys went to Mother's Day Out at our church today!!! This is their first time in a "school" setting! The morning drop-off was tough, both boys and Mommy cried! However the boys had a great day! They played and played. When I went to pick them up Joseph gave me a quick hug, then was off to the wagon to play! Johnathan stayed close, and would not let me very far away from him. Their teachers were very pleased and can't wait to see them on Thursday!!

Anthony and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend away to Birmingham, AL. It was so relaxing! The resort is gorgeous, and we enjoyed each minute. The tropical storm did arrive on Saturday, however we went out shopping and bought North Face rain jackets! The rain didn't stop us! Thanks so much to Grandma Gail and Grandma Holmes for staying at our house with the boys!

The softball park!

Over the weekend Lacey and Spencer took us to the ball park all day!! We were there to watch Lacey's sister Haley play a tournament! I think we played more than we watched the games! We had a great day, and Mommy and Daddy were able to go grocery shopping and to a parenting class at church while we were away! Thanks Lacey and Spencer for having so much fun with us!

Mother's Day Out

Today has been eventful!! It was doctor's appointments and it was orientation at our church for the Mother's Day Out program. The boys will be going two days a week from 8:30-2:00. The boys did great playing in their classroom and meeting their teachers. We visited orientation for about an hour. They start "school" in two weeks. It is a new phase for us all, I think it is great for the boys to have interactive play and advance their social development...but I will be so sad for them to be in such big boy activities! Packing lunches, backpacks and new schedules- oh my!

It is a first!

Johnathan has a cast..... ugh! I think that I have recovered, and Johnathan is doing fine. Last night Johnathan stepped down out of the front door, and immediately fell to the door mat. Since that time, he has cried alot, and now has a bright green cast! Dr. Simpson, and Jill his PA, determined that it is a "toddlers fracture." It isn't displaced and his xrays look good. The plan of care is a cast for three weeks! Thanks to everyone who has helped us the last 24 hours!\

Four-Wheelers on the farm!

Today we all went down to Grandpa and Grandma Holmes' farm! Daddy worked cows with Grandpa Holmes and Uncle Clay in the morning, then we played on the four-wheelers this afternoon! It was so fun. Joseph couldn't stand to do anything else, he just kept pointing to the four wheelers, and made it clear he wasn't happy unless he was riding on them! The boys are fascinated with the sounds of the motors, and enjoyed seeing the cows, horses and mule while riding in the pasture! It was a fun day, and the boys are sleeping well upstairs tonight!

Fun Friday!

The weather outside is gorgeous!! Bright and sunny!! It is perfect for the boys to be outside, and we have been out to play several times already! Thank you so much Grandma Gail for our two- seater bike!! It is so cute! Johnathan and Joseph love it! They love to ride, climb, push, and drag their bike around the yard! Adorable!!
