Brody turns 4!

Happy Birthday Brody! We celebrated Brody's birthday at his camping party this weekend! It was so much fun! It was laid back, and all kids had a blast! We attempted to convince Joe and Dana that we were told it was a slumber party and we would pick out kids up in the morning, but it didnt work! Truly, our kids would have stayed all night! At one point I was captured in the tent with our kids, and did need assistance getting out! We had such a good time, I think as the kids get older the adults may enjoy the parties more!
The fishing game over the "blue water" was so funny! However behind the wall was a scary place to be with all of these kids casting their poles over it!

Dr. Brock!

Growing up in Indiana Anthony worked at Best Friends Animal Care for Dr. Brock Wagner. Brock has been a mentor to Anthony since he was 16 years old! Brock and his wife Judy were at our wedding in Florida, and have been encouraging us along since. When Anthony opened his own veterinary clinic there wasn't a question that the name would be "best friends." When we opened Best Friends Veterinary Hospital Brock and Judy came down and helped us paint, hang cabinets etc.  Last week Brock came down on his motorcyle for a visit. The twins thought having a motorcycle in the garage was great!! But our sweet Jayne Elizabeth is a biker chick too!! Jayne Elizabeth attached to Dr. Brock quickly! She gave him lots of hugs, and enjoyed his storytime too.

Swim lessons!

After spending time at the lake house with the kids jumping off the dock and declaring that they can swim, we decided swim lessons would be helpful! It is hard to manage three little ones trying to "swim!" Mrs. Kimberly taught a private family lesson at the indoor pool for us last week! It went great!! All three kids did fabulous! We will schedule more lessons this spring!
Uncle Clay came to our first class!

Lake house weekend!

Yes, after a loooong rennovation/remodel the lake house is finally ready for guests!! We almost missed swimming weather, but we did manage to sneek in this past weekend! We still do not have pieces of furniture, but we have beds! We all stayed the night and the kids did great!!!! Anthony made the kids bunkbeds ( his Dad made him bunkbeds when he was young) and that was key to the happy sleeping! The lake house is a work in progress, the memories for our family continues......

County Fair

The county fair came to town! We decided to go on the night of the beef cattle show! Our boys were super excited! And Papa was sure not to miss this educational opportunity! Growing up our family showed cows, so this was a neat time to share with our kids as they experienced their first cow show! In attempt to explain the cattle in ring, and the livestock many funny things were said! Joseph and Johnathan were very sad when they were informed that their own prize cows back on the farm "Buddy" and "Big John" were not show cow quality! So funny!

Last year the camel was the favorite, this year it was the cows!

Indiana weekend wrap-up!

The weekend was a quick trip, but worth it! We had a couple moments that deserve to be documented. The first, myself trying to get all three babies down for a nap in hotel while my sweet husband met a friend for lunch! Also of note, this was the time I was supposed to be getting dressed for the evening! I did manage to have all three sleeping at the same time, but I am glad that no cameras documented this! ha!
This smiling face does not show the shock that was on his face when he learned first hand about fire alarms! Yep, as we were packing the van we gave the twins the job to hold open the hotel door. Joseph found the bright red handle very attractive. So attractive that he pulled it so hard that he broke the handle!!! Yep, the the early morning chaos of alarms and response teams made a lasting impression! I guess we should of taught them about fire alarms~ bless his heart! Note admission of guilt from parents not teaching our kids about fire alarms!
Anthony is an Indiana boy!
Thus it was completely appropriate to pull off the road to show our kids soy beans and corn fields!

Date Night, Class Reunion

My mother-in-law kept all three of our children at the hotel while Anthony and I headed to his 15 year class reunion! He hasnt seen these people since graduation from high school! It was a fun night, and I was so glad to spend time with my brother and sister-in-law. We adore them, and wish we lived closer.
My handsome husband!! So thankful for him!
Twins!! Anthony and Rusty
The boys with the love of their lives! I love my sister-in-law, and brother-in-law too! :)
