This and that

Our little girl loves her pasta!!!! She usually uses her fork for about one minute, then she decides her hands are more efficient! Brilliant, isnt she!?!? ha! The boys always remind us to take of Jayne Elizabeth's shirt before we eat pasta! The boys are brilliant too! :)
Brody and Briggs gave Jayne Elizabeth a silver necklace with two charms. One is a horse and the other says "cowgirl." She thinks she is such a big girl when wearing her necklace! Her brothers think it is pretty special too! They often remind her that she is a girl, and if she wakes up without a bow in her hair they are quick to point out that she needs one! In the picture below Johnathan and Joesph were pretty pleased with her BIG bow and necklace! Having a sister is hard work!

We celebrated my 33rd birthday this week! The kids made and displayed a handmade banner for when I came home from work! Precious, it is still hanging on our balcony!
The kids also gave me another present, a virus. Since last weekend the congestion and fever has went through the house one by one. Usually it comes in a single wave. But this week each day we have taken turns on who has been sick. This weekend is my turn.... boo. Johnathan found some enjoyment in his illness. Special time in bed with Daddy enjoying a popsicle made him feel better!!

Uncle Craig came to town!

Uncle Craig came to visit us and brought Miss Amy too! It was a great weekend! The kids had so much fun getting all the extra attention. Johnathan enjoyed telling Uncle Craig and Miss Amy all his pretend stories. Joseph enjoyed having someone to play with by himself. Jayne Elizabeth turned on her charm, and convinced Uncle Craig that she was absolutely the cutest thing ever! Craig and Amy are both collegiate runners, so the adults enjoyed lots of talk regarding miles, injuries, and motivation!
Intense "frog hopping" going on here!

Uncle Craig and Daddy always enjoy a "friendly" game of pool, now our twins do too!

A little snuggle time with Miss Amy!

Just another day, a good day.

I will be the first to admit that twin boys (plus one girl) three and under isnt easy. Sometimes not even fun. BUT- the good times are so good! I am really trying to ENJOY my daily routine and be truly thankful for all the time that I have chosen to spend with these three personalities. It is days we will not have back.  Even when the daily routine is snacks, books, meals, potty training, and crafts! The boys often are intertwined sometimes happy, and sometimes not. But it is getting more frequent that the interaction is playful and positive. Now, enter two year old sister and this changes! ha! So last week the boys asked me "go to our room to draw?!?" This is a first. The first that they wanted to be separated from Jayne Elizabeth to accomplish a mission! Ofcourse my spunky little girl did not mind, she said "my go to my room??!" Also significant because in the kids' room we do not put toys. Books, Bible and Beds ( with dolls, puppies and bears to snuggle)  make up their rooms!  It was a sweet moment, that I grabbed the camera to document!
My boys, in their room!

While snapping pictures of my boys, here is what I found my sweet, spunky little girl doing in her room. She draws everywhere, including on herself.
She is a mess!!!

It's a Snow Week

For Tennessee we have had unrealistic amounts of snow! Accumalation of 6, 8, and 10 inches have been documented in our county! The ground has been white for weeks, and school children have not had classes in weeks! I think "snow days" are great days to spend time with family, that otherwise would be spent elsewhere! We have become inventive on ways to spend the day inside, and even came up with outside games too!

Jayne Elizabeth had to dig her horse wheels out of the snow to ride!
Snow baseball with Daddy, a favorite for the boys!

They played until dark outside, they loved  "smacking" the snowball with the bat!

The kids are loving Mommy's new Cuisinart Keurig gourmet hot chocolate! A special snow treat!
I think she is excited about her "big girl" mug of hot chocolate, me too!

Jayne Elizabeth and Andrew

Today Jayne Elizabeth had her first friend only play date instead of the boys' friends. Andrew had planned a wonderful morning at his house of getting "do nos" (donuts) to eat with Jayne Elizabeth and had several games lined up for her. Andrew wanted to "make pancakes Jayne" (cook pretend pancakes) "racetime Jayne" (the boys push dump trucks all around downstairs and race from room to room) and "firetruck Jayne" (his prized new toy he got for Christmas toy). Andrew and Jayne Elizabeth had lots of fun and his big brotherWilliam did good letting the little ones play! I enjoyed listening and watching his baby sister Katherine squeal and laugh~ she is so sweet! Andrew is absolutely adorable, and his charming smile has surely impressed Jayne Elizabeth! It makes me so happy to see Jayne Elizabeth growing into her own person, and making relationships with special friends! Andrew is definetly a precious little boy and Jayne Elizabeth is already asking to play with him again!
Look at his cute smile!
Awe, hugs!

Christmas Play

Christmas day included playing with lots of new toys, while still in our PJs!! It was chaotic, but fun!
Jayne Elizabeth enjoys putting her dolls to bed, and taking all their clothes off!
With the tutus she cant decide whether she is a cheerleader, angel, or princess! She has a great imagination for all three while in the skirt!! When she uses her new pom-poms she yells "go brudders!!" She will be the twins biggest fan!
This blue one is from our cousins in Indiana! We gave it to Jayne Elizabeth for Christmas!
Like mother, like daughter!!!!! "Go Daddy!!"
This is Jayne Elizabeth when she decided that she wanted both tutus on to cheer!!! Hysterical!
Now for the boys, it is all about BIG trucks!

Smoky the "incentive" for potty training came home from the vet clinic on Christmas!! He has lived there for almost a year waiting for the boys to be completely potty trained! Smokey lives outside/garage and comes in only when he is getting a treat or being held. The kids love him, and have learned the word "responsibility."

Christmas Morning!!!

Christmas Morning!!!! The boys were asleep in our bed downstairs because Santa came in the middle of the night and broke down their toddler beds and converted them to full size beds! The first sound of the morning around 5:30 was Jayne Elizabeth helping herself to all the toys under the tree! We then told the twins we heard the reindeer on the roof, they ran upstairs to find their new beds together in the same room! There will be an entire blog on the beds!! It was a fun morning, filled with all the excitement that we should all have on Jesus' birthday!

Checking outside the window for Santa!

Santa knew exactly what this Mommy needed!!! The Cuisinart Kuerig coffee maker!!
