A Great Day

We went down to my parent's house on Mother's Day and my brother cooked the most delicious dinner ever!!! Seriously, it was an amazing filet mignon in red wine sauce, sweet potatoes gratin, and fresh corn! Oh my, my mouth is still watering! Then Uncle Clay gave the boys their birthday presents- cow boots!!! Uncle Clay couldnt wait until their birthday party! Johnathan and Joseph cant go anywhere without their new "boos." That is "moo-boos." Or for the Mommy translation, that means "cow-boots." We had such a good day with our family. It was relaxing and fun, and the weather was gorgeous.

Oh- the birthday planning and construction is STILL underway.....oh, the pictures that have been taken. Expect a slideshow of this event! Also, we leave for Florida tonight. We will be there for a veterinary conference and vacation. My plan is to post pictures on the blog from the resort. Next post via Florida!

Two Tricycles

Aunt Anne came for the weekend and brought the boys their birthday present! ( I think this will be a birthday month....why just celebrate on the day?!?! ) Needless to say the boys love their new tricycles! Johnathan and Joseph still dont reach the pedals, but they can move the tricycles backward by pushing off of the front wheel!! Also, they had plenty of people to push them around over the weekend. The boys love the birthday month idea, thanks Aunt Anne and Uncle Richard!

Mother's Day

Today will be different from what we had planned. Today was going to be Jayne Elizabeth's baby dedication at church. My family is in town, and Anthony's family was coming for the weekend. However Anthony is still recovering from the virus, and we had to cancel the festivities for Jayne Elizabeth. Anthony is still not to be in public. But- earlier this week I did dress up our precious baby girl to make sure everything was perfect for the church service on Sunday. Of course, a photo-shoot was in order during her dress rehearsal! I am so thankful we took pictures since we will miss the service at church. But- her Daddy and brothers thought she was beautiful.... She was so exhausted from the session, she fell asleep in her gown.
P-R-E-C-I-O-U-S!

Words can not express the pure joy in my heart on Mother's Day. God has been so good to me. I am humbled to tears when thinking about our children. The miracles, and moments of their life amaze me. I am so thankful that I was chosen to be their Mommy. I am thankful that I am able to stay home with them. I never imagined that life could be this good. I am also thankful for my Mom, and grandmother on this special day. Mom, I couldn't do this without you. Grammie, I miss you and look forward to introducing our babies to you in heaven...you will be so proud!

Gone to the farm...be back soon!

Anthony is home from the hospital and on his way to recovery! The kids and myself have spent much of our time at my parents! All kids are feeling great! We come home at night for bath and bedtime, but Anthony has stayed upstairs! The kids are excited that Daddy will be back functioning this weekend! Meanwhile at the farm it is hay season! Grandpa Holmes could sure use some extra hands, and no more rain!

Pray for our Daddy

This is an update on our week. Everyone but Jayne Elizabeth has had a fever and strep throat this past week. However Anthony has progressively worsened this week despite antibiotics. He has a high fever, and tonight he was admitted to the hospital for IVs and management. I put the kids to bed, then my parents and neighbor Becky came over to manage the house while we took Anthony to the hospital. I am back home, and will breastfeed the baby tonight and go back in the early morning hours to be with Anthony. Please pray for speedy healing, and a peaceful home.

Sunday afternoon

We went to my Grandpa's house for a visit on Sunday afternoon. This is Joseph's namesake, and the boy's great-grandpa! Anthony and the boys went out to great-grandpa's tool shed to repair a hook. Johnathan found an old typewriter, I think we may have a novelist on our hands! Keep us in your thoughts. Myself, Anthony and Joseph have strep throat. Johnathan is spending the night at the farm with Grandpa and Grandma Holmes. We should be feeling better soon, the antibiotics have been taken!

Farm Dog Jake

Today marked a few firsts in our family! It was the first time Grandpa Holmes was "allowed" to take one of the boys by himself. Johnathan went with "Pop-Pop" to the bank, and then out to the pastures to feed cows. I dont know who was happier, Grandpa Holmes or Johnathan! Also, it was the first time that myself, all the kids, and Grandpa and Grandma Holmes rode in Grandpa Holmes' truck together! Yes, three carseats and three adults in the cab of a truck! It was entertaining! Now more than ever I am thankful for big trucks!! We are in process of designing and constructing the boys second birthday! Pictures will come.....Enjoy the weekend! Love your family! Oh yeah, did I tell you how much these little boys love boots?!?!

....and girls wear camo too!
