Turkey Trot and Gobbler Gallop!

I was running around crazy during Thanksgiving, literally! Together with some friends we left Crossville at 4:30 AM on Thanksgiving to go to the "Hot to Trot" turkey trot in Knoxville! It was a 5k, and great course.  I had fun being crazy with girls going this race! Then on Saturday after Thanksgiving I did the "Gobbler Gallop" state park mountain 11k! It was steep hills and brutal test of endurance!! But, I had my parents and kids there cheering me on!! "Go Mommy" can make any mother run faster!!

Turkey Hot to Trot

My 5k was a personal record 23:33, and I placed second! But this mug was the award, a brown mug that says "Hot to Trot. Really, the first place runner was given a new pair of running shoes??!!!

The state park running series, Gobbler Gallop! My best fans, cheered me to FIRST place! This is my only first place run, after many second places!!! I think the kids make a great team!! This course was tough!
